查核網站Snope查核過極端相似的AI影片，該影片宣稱為颶風梅麗莎，但根據英國氣象局和美國國家海洋暨大氣總署的數據，颶風的雲層高度可達30,000 英尺至50,000 英尺。調查該時段的飛航資料可發現航班都繞行而不是穿越颶風。
另外根據世界氣象組織指出，一般商業航班為了安全起見都不會飛過這類氣象氣候。故可證明這是偽造的影片，請停止傳播該影片。
