■影片中的講者並不是中國大陸的「教育部長」，而是1997至2010年間任遼寧省盤錦市的「教育局長」魏書生。

■魏書生主張「每日做家務」對兒童人格養成、課業表現、未來成就皆有幫助，影片中未提出具體依據。

而1981年時哈佛學者G E Vaillant等人在投稿於美國精神醫學期刊上的論文則有類似看法，其針對456位工人階級家庭的男童，從14-47歲間定期進行調查，發現兒童時期的工作能力(包含持續進行家務、定期兼職、參與課外社團等)可以作為預測成年後心理健康與職業成就等的預測指標。
